Why we’re chosen Reasons We Are Chosen

Why KAI CLINIC

Why KAI CLINIC TOKYO
is chosen, again and again

Facial surgery, osteotomy above all, changes the impression of a face at its very foundation: the skeleton and tissue beneath.

The change you gain stays with you for the rest of your life. Because it cannot easily be undone once made, we approach every single operation with an exceptionally strong sense of responsibility.

What do we believe in, and how do we face our patients every day? Here are the seven things KAI CLINIC TOKYO holds most dear.
01 Board-certified surgeons

Every operating surgeon
is a board-certified plastic surgeon

Under the current system, a physician with only a medical license, even one with little experience, may perform cosmetic surgery. At KAI CLINIC TOKYO, we put our patients' safety and the precision of the result first, and we limit operating surgeons to those who hold board certification in plastic surgery.

Board-certified plastic surgeons have completed a rigorous training program recognized by the Japan Medical Specialty Board and have systematically mastered everything from handling skin, soft tissue and bone to precise suturing and tissue reconstruction, passing a demanding examination. In contour surgery, where millimeter-level precision is required, the anatomical knowledge and technique built in plastic surgery are indispensable.

A team of specialists, each mastering a field

Each of our surgeons can handle the eyes, nose and facial contour, and has gone on to deepen a specialty of their own. Centered on osteotomy, our team combines the plastic surgery skills honed in facial bone trauma reconstruction and microsurgery with a deep view of the face as a whole. One surgeon is internationally recognized for rhinoplasty, another has performed more than 10,000 eye procedures. This gathering of specialists, each a master of their field, is the strength of KAI CLINIC TOKYO.
Our expertise leads to inquiries and referrals from other clinics' physicians and consultations from overseas. We share our knowledge at academic meetings and lectures, and we are consulted widely by people active in many fields.

Our Doctors
02 Facing the hardest field

Our specialty: osteotomy (contouring and double-jaw surgery)

What KAI CLINIC TOKYO aims for is not to offer a wide range of procedures evenly, but to pursue, as deeply as we can, the fields that demand advanced skill.

Among them, osteotomy (contouring and double-jaw surgery), which works directly on the facial skeleton, is a specialty that requires especially deep anatomical knowledge and practiced technique even within cosmetic surgery. A slight difference in design or handling greatly affects the impression of the whole face, and the change lasts for life. We have made osteotomy the core of our practice, and our experienced board-certified plastic surgeons have faced every single operation with sincerity.

Revision Surgery Consultation Revision Consultation

We also sincerely accept consultations on revisions of surgery done elsewhere

Because we have built up advanced skill, many revision consultations come to us. We have carefully worked through each person's situation and concerns, whether surgical trouble or a sense of unease that will not go away.
To answer the earnest wish to "restore my ideal shape once more" with reliable skill and sincerity is also, we believe, an important part of the medicine we are meant to practice.

03 Minimal downtime

Osteotomy with minimal downtime

Many people imagine osteotomy as "a face so swollen you cannot go out in public for a while." Preparing to stay in for a month or more is the usual picture of osteotomy downtime.

At KAI CLINIC TOKYO, we achieve downtime that overturns this conventional wisdom: careful technique that keeps bleeding to a minimum, precise surgery that does not take too long, delicate care that lessens the burden on tissue, whole-body management by an experienced anesthesiologist, and thorough aftercare including post-operative IV drips. Doing all of this thoroughly makes the short downtime possible. Many patients who have had surgery tell us, "It swelled less than I expected."

We also aim for a natural result: a clear change, yet not an "operated" face, but one that looks as if it had always been yours. Short downtime and natural beauty, together: this is the form of osteotomy we have pursued.
04 Designed as a whole

Seeing the whole face as one "design"

Changing only one feature does not always bring the whole face to the ideal. The height of the nose affects how the eyes look, and the contour line, in balance with the nose and mouth, shapes the overall impression. When you move one spot by a single millimeter, the change always affects the surrounding features.

At KAI CLINIC TOKYO, we treat your consultation not as a matter of individual features but as the "total design of the whole face." In counseling, we examine the skeleton, soft tissue and even habits of expression in detail, and think together with you about the combination of procedures that brings you closer to your desired impression, organizing priorities as we go.

When several areas are operated on, in principle a single surgeon handles them from start to finish. We aim for a result that lets you age beautifully and naturally, not only today but five and ten years from now. That is the stance we hold dear in our practice.
Whole-Face Design
05 Facing the hardest field

A medical system that supports safety and peace of mind

In aesthetic medicine, we believe "peace of mind and safety" is not an abstract phrase but something achieved only through concrete systems. KAI CLINIC TOKYO maintains the following three.

Cooperation with partner medical institutions

In case of an emergency or when advanced diagnostic tests are needed, we have a medical cooperation system with St. Luke's International Hospital.
Because surgery always carries a certain risk, we secure a stronger safety system so that patients can receive treatment in a safe and secure environment.

Anesthesia management suited to the procedure and your body

According to the content and duration of surgery and the patient's physical condition, we select the optimal anesthesia method and manage it under strict monitoring. In surgery under general anesthesia in particular, an experienced anesthesiologist handles whole-body management.
We take great care to ensure safety during surgery and to minimize the burden on the patient's body.

Post-operative follow-up

After surgery, we hold regular check-ups, and a doctor directly confirms the wound and the course of recovery.
If you have any concern or worry during recovery, we have a system that lets you consult us at any time, and we watch over your progress carefully.

06 Minimal downtime

Comprehensive aftercare

Surgery inevitably brings downtime such as swelling and bruising. We regard this recovery period itself as an important process that medicine must take responsibility for.

Treatments and medication to support recovery

We prepare aftercare suited to the procedure and your condition, including treatments to reduce swelling and bruising, oral medication for the recovery period, and anesthesia options that minimize pain.

Regular check-ups by your doctor

From right after the procedure throughout recovery, your doctor stays by your side. We continue to support your recovery, from examinations and necessary treatment to guidance on points to watch in daily life.

No question is too small.
Consult us at any time

If anything concerns or worries you during recovery, please consult your doctor at any time. We understand the feeling that "it is after surgery that I feel more anxious," and we will watch over you with responsibility until the moment of completion.

Our staff also
have procedures here

Many of our staff have chosen to receive treatment here out of trust in our medicine. That those of us who face patients every day have confirmed the quality on our own bodies is the foundation of our responsible care.
